Chapter 4

Stella walked into the bar where Chad worked.

She had to go for a prenatal appointment.

And her doctor, Dr. Cheshire was going to make the biggest discovery in human history. Humans were indeed able to breed with other life forms. And they would discover Stella was Saltraxian and not human.

Stella did not want them to discover that she was different and giving the human race a half breed child.

What was she going to tell Chad about his son or daughter?

She put her hands on her tummy and felt the baby bump starting to make itself known..

She just wanted to be a human woman awaiting the birth of her first child with the man, she loved.

Dr. Cheshire had ordered genetic tests when she had realized the child looked like it had genetic deformaties on the ultrasound.

Stella did not want them to know that her baby was developing lnostril plates as her old ancestors had, to prevent babies from splashing milk everywhere, when they were nursing..

As her due date grew closer and Stella worried about what Chad would say when their child was born looking not completely ‘normal,’ for a human woman who was carrying their first child.

Stella put her hands on her belly, and felt the enlargement of her stomach allowing her child more room to grow.

She felt the baby bump, and hoped for a girl as boys were born with wings.

Stella closed her eyes and felt the bump beginning to grow in her belly. She shook her head not sure what to expect from her baby.

She wasn’t even sure how long the pregnancy was going to be.

Saltraxian women were pregnant for the equivalent of human 13 months; but this child was only half Salraxian.

And humans carried their babies for nine months where as Saltraxians carried babies for 13 months human months..

How would she deal with that. and for that matter would she have to go through labor and childbirth

Saltraxians had long ago done away with that and had the babies created and transported to the crib that is just outside the hospital area.

Because Stella had mated with a human against the overlords wishes she was being forced to go through childbirth and labor to produce this abomination.

Stella did not think this was fair, but she had gone against the wishes of the Saltraxian masters…

This is what she had to do for love… this is what she had to do for Chad.
